Starting today,I’ll be sharing my English practice journey here.
Just found a gem on Ko-chan’s blog (Koichi Honda on Ameblo):he says treat yourself with kindness. Sound simple,eh? But if you keep at it for two weeks, something shifts-in a really good way. Please try it and see what changes
I usually go hiking on sunny days-there is just something magical about the clear skies, fresh air, and sunshine lighting up the trails.
In the spirit of “Idle though as the sun sets, facing my ink stone”(from “Tsurezuregusa”).I turn the pages as my thoughts flow. There is a sense of calm and freedom in this book.
Digital newspapers are convenient-but I still go with the paper version. Why? Because it is surprisingly versatile. I can read it and clean my windows with it.
No time for the gym? Just move more in your life.-take the stairs. Turns out, people who stay active throughout the day have almost the same health benefits as those who hit the gym twice a week. …Wait, seriously?
A sweet friend gave me a T-shirt today-so grateful for the kindness and thoughtfulness! It totally made my day.
The more you save, the poorer you may become…? This is related to psychological concept of “projection”. The mindset of “I have no money… I need to save” can actually lower the salary that comes in. So what should you do? The answer is… “to buy what you really want at full price!
・Something you wanted even before seeing it.
・Something that has been on your mind for three days straight.
When you only buy things that you truly desire, your satisfaction skyrockets, and impulse buying comes to a complete stop. The reason wealthy homes tend to be tidy is that they only select “really good things” even if they are expensive. Makes sense. Let’s pay money comfortably and switch to a mindset of abundance! What is something that everyone currently “truly wants”?
Want to avoid drama online? I have a simple mindset hack for you.
I call it the “Front Door Test”.
Before hitting “post”, I pause and imagine that same message…as a poster on my actual front door. With my name on it. For everyone to see.
Would the people walking by feel uncomfortable?
Would the mail carrier give you a side-eye?
If the thought of that makes you cringe even a little, maybe it is best to keep it in the drafts.
It is not about censorship, it is about mindful communication. Let’s make the internet a better place, one post at a time.
Here is a little thought for your day…
Some of the most significant moments in our lives-for better or for worse-are decided by pure chance.
And maybe that is not a flaw, but a feature.
It is the path not taken, the random act of kindness.
You can not plan for serendipity. You just have to be open to it
Embrace the beautiful randomness of your journey. You never know what magic is waiting around the corner.
Have you ever had a life-changing moment happen by chance?
Feeling so greatful today.
A thoughtful friend surprised me with a book, and it absolutely made my day!
Simple acts of kindness are the best.
What is the last book you were gifted? I would love to know!
Friends with amazing taste are the best kind of friends.
A lovely friend surprised me with these incredible pants, and I am already obsessed!
The fit, the color, the style… they are absolutely perfect. It feels so good to be known and seen.
Feeling so greatful and stylish.
What is your latest fashion find that you are excited about?
The pace of Generative AI is just mind-blowing lately. It feels like every week there is a new tool that can do something that feels like actual magic. I have played around with a few things, but now I am getting that itch to drive in deeper and try something new.Time to experiment! What is the coolest AI tool you have tried recently?
The latest things I have heard about Generative AI is wild…Apparently, it can now analyze market data and help with investment decisions. Now, I am not about to hand over my life savings to a robot(lol), BUT my curiosity is officially piqued. So, I am going to run a little experiment. Just to see what kind of insights it can generate.Think of it as having a new, super-smarts research assistant. Let’s see what happens!Would you trust AI with financial advise? I am genuinely curious.
Something wild is happening at the doughnut shop by my local station.Every single day, there is a HUGE line wrapping around the corner. Seriously!I heard their new doughnut is so popular they are actually limiting how many each person can buy. That is how you know it is the real deal. The FOMO is real. Now I am dying to know… is it worth the hype?!
Just visited a special exhibition at an art museum-this one focused on ceramics. But seriously… were those really ceramics? The level of detail was so delicate, it looked like fine lace carved from porcelain. Absolutely mind-blowing.
Tried the Midosuji and Chuo lines on Osaka Metro for the first time in a while-super clean and freshest!Looks like they have been renovating ahead of the Expo.Honestly, events like this really push cities to level up. Expo might not be such a bad idea after all.
More public transit systems now accept credit cards-great news for anyone chasing points or working on their credit card game.
A small gift that brought a big smile to my face today! How pretty is this handkerchief a friend gave me? I can not wait to start using it tomorrow. Having something new and lovely in my bag just lifts my spirits. Just feeling really happy and appreciated right now. Thanks you, thank you, thank you!
